| Adapter | The VoIP Adapter allows you to change your phone service from a traditional analog signal to a digital signal for use with a broadband connection. With VoIP Internet phone service, you will have a main phone number for your account. However you can have up to five additional phone numbers, called alternate telephone numbers. Alternate telephone numbers permit inbound calls only. Alternate numbers ring into your main VoIP Internet phone service phone line. Choose alternate telephone numbers in different area codes so that friends and family can call you toll-free. For example, if you live in Texas and you have family members living in New York, select an alternate telephone number with a New York area code. This will allow them to call you toll-free. |
