Call waiting allows you to accept an incoming call while you're already talking to another caller. A special tone lets you know that a second caller is trying to reach you. The second caller will hear a ring until you answer. To put the first caller on hold and answer the second caller, press the flash key/switch hook once. You can toggle back and forth between both calls as many times as you would like by pressing the flash button.
